LiveWire Unicycles has obtained an exclusive license to manufacture custom geared unicycles based on the Purple Phaze coaxial transmission design. This new product, called Outta Phaze, enables other unicyclists to purchase 29" and 36" unicycles with a huge range of fixed gearing, from 1:1 to nearly 1:4! Optional modules will allow the unicyclist to change gearing with the use of simple cycling tools, although the operation will not be "on-the-fly." The unicycles will be available with traditional frames or the new V-frame geometry. The frames will also be compatible with a traditional non-geared wheel. All components will be selected to be of very high quality, and each will be custom-built for the individual customer.
If you are a unicyclist determined to break personal (or global) speed and distance limitations, this is the way to go. Outta Phaze has a wider range of gearing, less drivetrain energy loss, a lighter transmission, less backlash, and more unicycle options than any other geared unicycle available. Moreover, Outta Phaze is built around a Stockton wheel and a Hunter frame designed specifically for the Outta Phaze transmission. What a combination!
